C02班: X線自由電子レーザー(XFEL)による 超高速ナノ構造解析用検出器

フェムト秒領域からミリ秒オーダーまでの動力学の理解は、材料・生命分子などの機能の根源を理解することにつながるため物質科学・生命科学において極めて重要である。X線自由電子レーザー(XFEL)を利用したコヒーレントX線回折顕微鏡(CDI)は、フェムト秒分解能でナノ構造情報を直接取得できる手法である。しかしながら検出器を含む測定技術の限界によって得られる情報が限定されたものになっている。本研究ではSOIピクセル検出器技術を基盤としXFEL用の新たな検出器技術開発を行う。耐久性として入射X線換算7 Grad(Si)、および実効高ピーク信号検出能力が十分に高い、かつ1光子検出能力を有する究極のXFEL実験用検出器を実現する。これにより空間分解能、試料適用範囲を飛躍的に拡大し、XFELによる物質科学・生命科学分野の研究を加速する。
