D02:Fast and high resolution mass imaging of biomolecules using stigmatic imaging mass spectrometer

We will develop new SOI detector for stigmatic imaging mass spectrometer that can detect arrival position and flight time of incoming ion with high spatial and temporal resolution. By this new SOI detector stigmatic imaging mass spectrometer will be in practical use, and fast high resolution mass imaging of biomolecules can be realized.
This technique is expected to be applied in many fields (biology, pathology, pharmacy and industry) as below;

  • Pathology research and fast diagnosis
  • Observation of biological distribution and disposition of Cs and Sr
  • Pharmacokinetics of new medicine
  • Evaluation of organic electronic device
